Protection tubes for immersing bath heaters for application in electroplating industries, made of NOVOSIL, are very durable and have a resistance to most acids an caustic solutions and thus exceed all mineral materials.
Our NOVOSIL.s excellent resistance to thermal shock prevent the glass from cracking as it was formerly known for technical glasses and ceramic dip tube casings.
Such NOVOSIL components are manually closed on lathes by glass-blowers.
Open ends are generally fire-polished (cut edges rounded) where a flaring, as seen in the illustration, might be possible.
Tubes of a diameter up to 50 mm and a length of app. 2.000 mm can be processed such way. |
